I hated my boss and wasn’t making nearly enough money. I was dreadfully unhappy working 55 hours per week and commuting over 2.5 hours per day.
My husband (then fiance) at the time introduced me to the concept of Working From Home and Working For Myself. How ingenious! – I thought. To be able to set my own hours, work with WHO I wanted to work with, make as much money as the free marketing will bear (at it will bear a lot!) and get the freedom to travel and do what I want to do. So in the fall of 2006, I took a leap of faith and quit my heinous job and started in business full-time with Send Out Cards.
I was so green, so hungry, so ready to make this work. I was like a sponge – learning from all sorts of leaders and producers in this industry. We’ve been in SendOutCards now since February 2006 and have never looked back.
But I will tell you that we’ve experienced it all. We’ve experienced the high’s and the low’s. And there are LOW’S. We’ve learned what HAS WORKED and what definitely DOES NOT WORK. What to spend money on, and what’s a load of crap with building a SOC business.
